Privacy Policy

Last updated April 17, 2026

Speed67 is built to respect your privacy. We collect the minimum data needed to run a global leaderboard. We do not run ads, do not sell data, and do not use third-party trackers or analytics.

Camera Access

The game uses your device's front camera to track the position of your hands. All camera frames and pose data are processed entirely on your device, in real time. Video is never recorded, uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers. Nothing leaves your device except the final score you choose to submit.

What We Store on Your Device

In your browser's localStorage (or the equivalent secure storage in our mobile app), we keep:

  • A randomly generated UUID, created the first time you open the Service. This is not linked to your name, email, IP, or device identifiers.
  • The display name you choose for the leaderboard.
  • Your personal best score.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser storage or reinstalling the mobile app.

What We Send to Our Server

When you submit a score, we receive:

  • Your randomly generated UUID
  • Your chosen display name
  • Your score (a number)
  • The timestamp and bare IP-level metadata that any web server receives by default (used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention)

We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, photos, or video.

How Your Information Is Used

  • To rank you on the public leaderboard.
  • To prevent abuse (rate-limiting score submissions to one per 15 seconds per UUID).
  • To filter inappropriate display names using an automated profanity filter before they appear publicly.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Service Providers

Our backend (a small Express + Redis service) is hosted on Railway. The static website is hosted on a standard CDN. These providers process traffic on our behalf under their own security and privacy practices.

Data Retention

All-time leaderboard scores are kept indefinitely so the leaderboard remains meaningful. Hourly score buckets used for the rolling 24-hour leaderboard expire automatically after 25 hours. You can request deletion of your UUID and any associated scores at any time (see Contact below).

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices

  • You can deny camera access at any time — the game simply will not run without it.
  • You can play without ever submitting a score. No data leaves your device unless you tap Submit.
  • You can clear your local data (UUID, display name, best score) by clearing browser storage or reinstalling the mobile app.
  • You can request deletion of any server-side scores tied to your UUID.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
